Most annoying radio commercials: Twisted Tea.
Not only are these ads annoying per se, at least one local radio station runs them ad nauseam in various time slots. These ads are definite channel changers or off button candidates.
Update: These obnoxious ads seem to have disappeared from the radio. Let's hope they are gone forever. I do believe that enough people complained and even stopped listening to the radio programs to make a difference. Ratings are everything to radio and TV.

TV commercials that are getting really, really old.
1. Freecreditscore.com. What a lame singing group.
2. Progressive Insurance. Enough of the Flo commercials.
3. State Farm Insurance and the creepy mayhem guy.
4. Ally Bank. Who leaves kids alone with a creep like this?
5. Zyrtec. I have not seen a decent commercial from Zyrtec, ever. They are all simpy.
6. Pretty much any commercial where people eat or drink, and talk. Really, we do not need to hear eating noises to believe that the food or beverage tastes good. How about featuring good eating manners for a change?
7. Korean Air. What's with the giant people and seduction? Try just selling excellence in flight unless you are advertising for the Mile High Club.
8. Can't even remember the product, but the 2 guys in a bathroom, 1 shaving the hair off the other's back, was just disgusting. A real channel changer.
9. Again, can't even remember the product, perhaps some sort of antacid, but the food that fights back ads are just plain dumb.
10. Knowhowtogo.org has a really dumb commercial. A girl's mother wants her to go to college and this girl says, "Learning to kick flip six stairs takes determination. So will getting into college." Peculiar analogy. Let's all hope that she has the same determination to excel academically in middle school and high school. There aren't too many scholarships for kick flippers and I doubt that her determination to kick flip six stairs is ever going to land her a decent job. That said, this group was lame enough to pay her to skateboard and kick flip for a commercial. Just sends the wrong message to kids. Another commercial from this group has a kid stating that "reaching level 70 takes focus. So will getting into college." Same dumb theme. Doubt that reaching level 70 is going to be a big hit on the kid's resume. Reinforcing this kind of thinking just further dumbs down our kids.

Can the ad folks still make ads that feature reasonably intelligent-appearing people who are not otherwise disgusting in some way?
Is there a dearth of talent in advertising anymore?

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. Darth Vader kid. The uncut version is even better. Very cute. Again, it didn't cost a fortune to produce it, it made the point and is still enjoyable to watch months after the Superbowl in January 2011. No one even says a word.
